The Cost $$ of Back Pain

Updated: May 12, 2020

According to the American Chiropractic Association (1), it is estimated that up to 80% of people will experience back pain at some time in their lives and Americans spend more than 50 billion a year in healthcare costs associated with low back pain.

That adds up. The hours and days spent in pain. The money lost from missing work. The money spent on tools and treatments to relieve pain: creams, patches, belts, tables, therapy, massage, doctors visits, injections, surgeries.

Did you know that the average back surgery to repair a herniated disc costs between $13,000 to $55,000+? Think this is staggering? Check out the cost of other recommended back surgeries on Health Care Blue Book.

The most unfortunate thing about all of this? If someone does undergo a surgery to treat disc herniation, there is a 5-36% chance that within 2 years, the back or leg pain will return (2).

Not sure about you -- but to me -- that is disheartening.

You see - I WAS on the surgery schedule…..3 times….. for surgery to treat my herniated discs -but I just felt like there was another option. There had to be -- undergoing such an invasive surgery which may or may not help just didn’t sit well with me.

At that moment - I decided to become the CEO of my own body and choose to treat my back pain the natural, long lasting, holistic way -- and I have NEVER looked back.

And now -- I am working on compiling my expertise and experience - not only as someone who has lived thought it - but also as a Registered Nurse for 10+ years, with specialization of workers’ compensation case management the last 5 years, health and wellness coach, and fitness / yoga instructor.

So - do you suffer from back pain? Do you want a way out --- like really -- for good? Are you willing to commit to taking time each week to allow for healing for YOU and the one and only back you have in this life?

If so -- I want to help.

I want everyone to get Back 2 Bliss in whatever form that means for them.
